Unique & Charming
Villa Kynthia is one of the Crete's most historical charming guesthouses
an 1890s renovated mansion
This 1890s residence was built by a merchant of aromatic citrus (grapefruit – sized lemons), which were exported, along with carobs and olive oil, from the port of Panormo. The building is a remarkable example of neoclassical architecture with local characteristics of the last century. This is why it is included by the Greek Ministry of Culture in the listed historic buildings!
In the enclosed courtyard and garden you can enjoy a very high-quality Cretan Breakfast of a big variety, based on fresh and bio local products.
Venetian Palazzo
Rooms & Suites
The interiors feel more like a Venetian palazzo than a Greek island villa. The 3 first – floor rooms are the most lavish, with shiny wooden floors, beamed or panelled ceilings, wrought-iron four-poster beds, faded Persian rugs and beautiful antique dressers or washstands. Kynthia suites Creta…

Breakfast in
Villa Kynthia
In the inner courtyard and garden, you can indulge in a high-quality breakfast made with fresh, locally-sourced organic products.
The breakfast buffet is served downstairs in the kitchen on the ground floor. You can relish your meal in the cool shade of the pine tree while enjoying an assortment of cakes, cereals, cookies, fresh orange juice, yogurt, honey, cheese, ham, Corrina’s homemade jams, scrambled eggs, and a delectable homemade cheesecake from Gianna.
It’s an excellent way to kickstart your day!
Kids are Welcome
Children of all ages are welcome and will be very well looked after by the extremely accommodating owners and staff. The walled garden and pool make a safe, shady play area (you will, of course, need to supervise your kids poolside) and there are beaches a short walk away.
The village is partly traffic free. With only 5 rooms, the mood will depend largely on whether the other guests are families or couples, so it’s worth asking at the time of enquiry.

Fully Restorated
The splendor of the Past
Korinna and Antonis Miliarakis drove to the decision to become the new owners and to preserve the Villa, after the memorable special time they spent for some years there, as a holiday residence. Therefore in 1991 they restored it.
Step through the ornate gateway and you find yourself in an enchanting two levels courtyard, shaded by a venerable pine tree and scented by bougainvilleas as well as a lot of flowers. Swallows skim the pool and wood pigeons coo. Behind blue shutters, 5 elegant bedrooms reveal polished parquet floors, beamed eaves, oriental rugs and antique iron four-posters, one has a balcony, another a terrace.
The interior design project reinterprets the classics and offers warmth, refinement and practicality to a memorable experience.
